More about the Role:
This position is for a fulltime or parttime contractor who is able to maintain a 3 business day turnaround from time of consultation on first draft materials sent to clients. Compensation is provided per package completed.
A day in the life of our resume writer:
The writer will be clientfacing and involved in all client interaction.
Sales:
The writer will talk with leads who are interested in using our services and be confident and skillful in selling the resume service to those that are a good fit. Please note: these will be very interested people who are already aware of the pricing.
Service Delivery:
The writer will meet with clients who have purchased services via Zoom (from his/her home office) to collect information for the resume and any other materials.
The writer will use the information clients existing resume to create documents that will secure interviews. The writer will follow Careers by Designs guidelines and accomplishmentsbased resume framework.
The writer will provide all documents to the client within 3 business days. The writer will be available to respond to requests for edits and revisions from the client until the final documents are complete and signedoff by the client.
The writer will maintain record of client work in CRM software.
Main responsibilities:
- Conduct highly professional and motivating intake interviews over Zoom videoconferencing.All clientfacing work is done remotely from your own (home) office.
- Conduct phone chats to advise leads of our services and why they should choose us
- Work with our clients to help them better articulate their strengths and talents into finely crafted marketing materials that turn heads and win interviews.
- Use and adhere to our Careers by Design accomplishmentsbased resume framework and model.
- Provide edits and revisions of documents.
- Maintain quick turnaround times as per agreed upon deadlines with management.
- Maintain recordkeeping of client work in CRM.
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong educational background supporting superior writing skills.
- Exceptionally talented at asking key questions & drawing out accomplishments from an interview setting.
- High attention to detail.
- Knowledge of various industries.
- Understanding of how to write resumes and marketing materials for individuals pursuing a career transition.
- Knowledge of applicant tracking systems and how to write resumes that pass through.
- Adept at customer service.
- Ability to work with clients with empathy and understanding.
- Ability to create resumes and marketing materials with a highly polished design and look.
- Proficiency in Word InDesign and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to work in a virtual team environment with quick access to updates via email.
Experience:
- Have written a minimum of 100 resumes and are committed to a high level of proficiency
- Experience in recruiting HR or career counselling an asset.
Compensation:
- based on qualifications and experience
- we pay above industry standard
