Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Ellesmere Port
Salary: 40000 to 45000p/a
Basic Hours: 40 hours Monday to Friday
Contract / Permanent: Permanent
Site Based / Office / Remote: Office based

Location: Primarily based at the head office with occasional site visits required.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Reports to: Mechanical/Process Design Lead
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support in weekly meetings with both inhouse teams and clients.
- Collaborate closely with clients and subsuppliers to ensure smooth project delivery alongside the Project Manager.
- Participate in design reviews and oversee technical documentation.
- Support the inhouse manufacturing process by ensuring project designs are accurately implemented.
- Specify and procure project materials in line with engineering standards.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the delivery of project drawings and associated records.
- Participate in project handover meetings with the sales team as necessary.
- Provide input for sales quotes when required.
- Address and resolve build queries for workshop and site projects.
- Share best practices across projects to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
- Mechanical Engineering qualifications at HNC/HND level or equivalent.
- Experience working within the process oil & gas petrochemical or gas distribution industries.
- Strong understanding of equipment engineering specifications and industry standards.
