Job Description
The Bilingual School Psychologist impacts students lives by:
- Coordinating and completing Bulletin 1508/IDEIA initial evaluations and reevaluations in a compliant and timely manner
- Interacting with schoolbased and outside related service providers to obtain necessary evaluation components and make teambased eligibility determinations
- Attending and participating in IEP meetings as the evaluation representative
- Collaborating with the schoolbased Directors of Special Education to ensure that the school complies with all relevant local state and federal regulations governing students with disabilities or who are under the evaluation process
- Consulting with school leaders and individual teachers regarding high priority students
- Conducting socialemotional skills groups as needed
- Taking on other tasks as needed

- Possess certification in school psychology from the state of Louisiana or have the necessary requirements to apply and obtain one
- Demonstrate past success working with students in nonselective schools

Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to sit stand walk talk hear operate a computer and other office equipment reach with hands and arms and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
