Job Summary
Our Construction Management team is seeking an Assistant Construction Engineer for the Chicago Metro Region. The Assistant Construction Engineer will perform a variety of tasks and assignments related to roadways transit railroads bridges and transportation related structures in accordance with design specifications and guidelines. This individual will inspect materials; organize and participate in agency coordination and apply techniques to carry out a sequence of related engineering tasks.Responsibilities & Qualifications
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Apply standard techniques procedures and criteria to carry out tasks as part of a broader assignment.
- Inspect bridges including railroad bridge and transportation related structures.
- Inspect incorporated materials.
- Ensure compliance with plans specifications and regulations.
- Assist in setup and maintenance of master project files.
- Assist in resolution of design/coordination issues.
- Monitor contractors work progress and schedule.
- Attend various meetings facilitate various meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
- Interpret contract specifications and special provisions.
- Measure and document work performed by contractor.
- Assist in project closeout asbuilts and punch list.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE):
- Requires a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment we have provided the base compensation range of$60000 $90000 annually for this position and local market.
