We are seeking applications for an Instrument Technician (Grade1 to join our Perioperative Team at Ballarat on a permanent parttime basis.
Our Instrument Technician is responsible for effective cleaning decontamination packing and sterilising of items for reprocessing and to utilise equipment associated with the above appropriately in accordance with AS 4187.
The Position
Contributes to and is involved in Quality Activities with a focus on best practice.
Participates in determining and evaluating the quality of care being delivered to patients.
Cooperates in data collection of hospitalwide Quality Activity projects and Clinical Indicators.
Ensures that the need of the customer both internal and external receives the highest priority and that the objective is to exceed the customers expectations.
Maintain effective work practice in regard to manual and mechanical washing lubrication drying packaging and sterilising.
Develop a sound working knowledge of all instrumentation requiring reprocessing.
Successful applicants will have effective documentation and interpersonal skills and able to work efficiently as a team member.
Certificate 3 in Sterilisation Services and/or experience in CSSD sterilisation and instrument processing will be highly regarded.

We can offer you
Salary: $60512 (prorata for part time) plus 11.5 Superannuation
Permanent parttime working 30 hours per week
