Job Summary
QSAC is seeking dedicated and energetic full time 1:1 paraprofessionals who provide direct behavioral support services to students under the general supervision of a New York State certified teacher. The rolefocuses on implementing proactive and reactive strategies from an individual students behavior intervention planas outlined by the supervising teacher. A 1:1 paraprofessionalprovides behavioral support so that a student is better able to access instruction.
Additional job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensure health safety & welfare of individuals.
Aide classroom teacher as needed.
Maintain student engagement and support student in participation in classroom activities.
Implement proactive reactive and emergency strategies outlined in Behavior Intervention Plans.
Collect and maintain behavioral data for assigned student.
Maintain student safety.
Maintain participant/family confidentiality.
Complete required program documentation/certifications (e.g. Employee Medicals PPD CPR etc. as required).
Commitment to company values and adherence to policies.
Punctuality and regular attendance is expected.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or senior management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED.
Clearance through state mandated Background/Fingerprint Check(s).
Ability to run.
Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20lb items.
Ability to communicate effectively with others and individuals served.
