Job Description
Keysight After Market Services located in Austin TX is seeking candidates for an RMA Technician. The RMA Technician is responsible for performing product diagnosis repairs and service to CSGs Network Test Security and Visibility products. Candidates for this position should be good communicators have advanced troubleshooting skills and be productive with minimal supervision. In this role the RMA Technician will be working in a manufacturing environment as part of a team to repair customer returns record details of the repairs maintain inventory of repaired products and help improve the quality of these products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Repair of defective product returns.
- Conduct product failure analysis on defective products.
- Adhere to established procedures during testing to produce a quality product.
- Prepare and ship unrepairable or items under warranty to our Contract Manufacturers.
- Identify test or process gaps that may contribute to failures with products.
- Meet and exceed internal and external Service Level Agreements.
- Maintain details of all repair activity and problems found.
- Assist with development of solutions based on common failure trends.
- Work closely with internal departments such as Operations Technical Support and Engineering.
- Perform system and board bring up using Linux OS.
- Perform cycle counts for inventory.
Job Qualifications
Requirements:
- Highly motivated selfstarter who works well independently and in team environment.
- Well organized and ability to multitask due to shifting priorities.
- Good verbal and written communications skills attention to detail.
- Experienced using electronic test equipment (traffic generators) hand tools and power tools.
- Specific communications protocol knowledge required Understanding of Ethernet Fiber Channel SONET (Synchronous Optical Networking).
- Ability to read and review schematics datasheets and PCB layouts.
- Trouble PCBA issues to component level.
- Ability to remove and resolder SMT and Thru Hole parts and components.
- Ability to understand technical drawings data sheets and written/verbal work instructions.
- 5 years working in a test lab or hardware manufacturer or 3 years working in a testing engineering or engineering support role.
- Adept with MS Office tools such as Word Excel and Outlook.
Preferred:
- Experience in related field: PCB repair PCB rework Networking & PC skills.
- Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology.
- Experience in Oracle Agile Seibel Linux.
