Our client operating in the Manufacturing Industry (OEM) is looking to employ a Utility 2 Operator to their team in Port Elizabeth.
Note : Candidates applying must be a qualified artisan N4 or equivalent trade / artisan qualification.
Requirements:
Grade 12.
N4 or equivalent trade / artisan qualification.
5 years experience in an automated factory environment.
A thorough knowledge of process and ability to run hi tech machinery.
Understanding of QMS systems and OHS Act.
Responsibilities:
Setting Operating and Maintaining:
Setting operating and maintaining the following machines as per suppliers operating manuals including mould changes and start up: Plate enveloping machines COS machines Shorts Testing machines TTP welding machines Heat Sealing machines Leak testing machines and Date Coding machines.
Ensuring that the automatic and semiautomatic Post Burner equipment is correctly set up and maintained.
Ensuring that each line of equipment produces the correct quality product at the nominal production rate for that equipment and taking corrective action if the quality is not correct.
Ensuring that all assembly line equipment used is kept clean and safe.
Ensuring that the cooling water system and all extraction systems are kept in the correct working condition.
Administration / Record Keeping:
Complete the appropriate job cards for maintenance work and the production logs attribute charts and SPC data as required in the assembly work instructions.
Communication:
Engage professionally with all suppliers customers directors management peers and subordinates.
Quality:
Ensure duties are performed in a professional manner at all times according to the customers requirements standards and quality.
