The Controls Technician role will support Trane UK Ltd customers within the commercial Healthcare Process Manufacturing Facilities Education Facilities and Office Buildings. The primary objective will be commissioning troubleshooting repairing and starting up HVAC systems This role is an opportunity to utilize your knowledge of air conditioning theory pipe fitting and mechanical layouts whilst giving you the opportunity to work with internal and external partners ranging from new facility set ups to existing facility retro fits. Seeking 2 technicians from the North and Midlands regions of the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer and Technical:
Responsible for commissioning programming setting up graphics communications link end to end testing troubleshooting and servicing on assigned projects.
Documenting point to point verification sequence of operations validation and job close out requirements.
Represents the company as the direct customer contact responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at customers location.
Maintains and enhances knowledge on Trane products concerning installation operation maintenance service and repair of direct digital control systems.
Uses cutting edge software and technology along with a variety of handtools following blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units within systems.
Collaboration with Service desk Sales and Operations Team: Establish strong communication channels to share key customer insights.
Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on completed invoiced work orders.
Customer Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with customers through exceptional customer service.
Communicates & coordinates with local field service representatives regions service leaders and senior technicians and customers on updates and to drive continuous improvement.
Continually enforces safety to the highest standards and maintains security and accountability of company issued and procured assets by recording use wear and conditions.
Skills and Capabilities:
Proven experience in service or fieldbased technician role.
Strong knowledge of customer service principles.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate technicians to deliver customer experiences.
Effective communication skills
Analytical thinking and problemsolving abilities.
Proficiency in using Apps diagnostic software and MS Office Suite.
Knowledge of manufacturing industry an advantage
People and communication skills with a positive mindset
Able to work with minimal supervision & a good team player.
Able to cover standby and call outs on a planned scheduled basis to include weekday weekends and bank holidays with travel and overnight stays to meet the customer needs.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
UK Drivers license as a company vehicle will be allocated
Right to Work status confirmed for Country of application.
