ABOUT BURLINGTON SCHOOL DISTRICT
Burlington School District (BSD) is the largest most diverse singletown school district in the state of Vermont. In School Year(SY25 BSD served nearly 3200 PreK Grade 12 students across 12 centralized campuses and additional locations for Burlington Technical Center programs. This includes providing support for 465 PreK students through 51 different partner programs in the area. In SY25 Students in BSD came from homes representing 37 different first languages.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking passionate dedicatedExecutive Director of School Leadership to join our Executive Team. Responsible for overseeing and supporting school principals to ensure highquality instructional leadership student achievement and operational excellence across multiple schools. This role includes coaching and evaluating principals implementing leadership development programs and aligning school performance with district goals. The Executive Director collaborates with district leadership to drive continuous school improvement analyze data to inform strategic decisions and foster a culture of equity and excellence. Additionally they support principal hiring professional growth and compliance with educational policies and initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum: Masters degree in education leadership.
- Valid Educators License granted by the Vermont Department of Education.
- Endorsement in Principal 91 and Superintendent 90 or eligible for Vermont Provisional License.
Required Qualifications:
- Successful experience as a principal.
- Experience with staff supervision
- Experience effectively working with culturally and linguistically diverse groups.
Preferred Attributes / Skills:
- Demonstrate cultural competence with all diverse groups including but not limited to race ethnicity religion gender class and sexuality.
- Demonstrated success in program planning/management and training/facilitation.
- Experience writing concise and accurate reports and records.
- Experience analyzing and reporting data and working with principals to do this with their staff.

EMPLOYMENT BENEFITS/TERMS:
- SALARY:This is a salaried position paidBiWeekly.
- SCHOOL YEAR:12 months 261 workdays (based on start date) 8 per day/40 per week
- BENEFITS:Benefits eligible on start date. 30 days to enroll in coverage from start day.BSD Benefits!
- PAID TIME:Sick Time / Personal Time / Vacation Time. As per the Personnel Manual.
