As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Neovest youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted marketleading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Develops secure highquality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors startups and internal teams to drive outcomesoriented probing of architectural designs technical credentials and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leadingedge technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineer concepts and proficient applied experience
- Proficiency in React JavaScript and TypeScript as well as experience with testing frameworks.
- Fundamental understanding of lowerlevel design principles in JavaScript/TypeScript and be knowledgeable about industrystandard bundlers like Webpack and Rollup. Experience in optimizing JavaScript compilation for scalability and versatility as well as building commandline interfaces (CLI) is essential.
- Background in one or more backend programming languages such as C#/.Net is also required.
- Handson practical experience delivering system design application development testing and operational stability
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
- Practical cloud native experience
- Experience in Computer Science Computer Engineering Mathematics or a related technical field
- Indepth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experience working in the Capital Markets industry with Portfolio Management systems
- Ability to work in an Agile environment
- Understanding of modern User Interface architecture and design
- Understanding and experience with data cacheing technologies (i.e. Redis Hazlecast etc)
- Understanding and experience with message distribution technologies (i.e. RabbitMQ Kafka etc)
- English skills: advance
