Core Functions:
- Administer tests as required
- Respond appropriately to any irregularities in the examination process
- Ensure compliance with ADA requirements
- Work with faculty in scheduling preparation implementation and followup of student examinations
- Provide clear guidance and oversight to students utilizing the Testing Center
- Oversee organization and maintenance of testing center physical facilities
- Process borrowing and lending Interlibrary Loan requests through DocLine OCLC WorldShare Jira Ticketing system and direct email article or book requests verify for accuracy and email to patron.
- Use research skills to identify article requests that can be filled through RMU subscriptions Google Scholar print collection or any Internet source.
- Update RMU holdings in DocLine OCLC Worldshare and the ILS system (Koha)
- Maintain circulation records through Koha and send reminder notices for overdue books
- Help students with research and technical questions in person or via Zoom
- Format resources for students with ADA accommodations
- Assist in New Student Orientation Value Added Sessions and requested Webinars
- Attend conferences workshops seminars and classes to maintain knowledge of changing technologies and developments in the healthcare academic and information industries. AHIP certificate encouraged but not required
Background/Expertise:
- Master Library Science (MLS) degree is required
- Previous library experience is highly preferred
- Online research skills
- Knowledge of SQL searching preferred.
- Basic understanding of copyright law.
- Studentcenteredness or customer service orientation
- Able to interact professionally with others
- Detailoriented: meticulous and conscientious
- Able to solve problems and make sound operational decisions when necessary. Must be highly organized and selfmotivated to meet deadlines and to plan prioritize and focus on critical issues
- Reliable in completing tasks on time with the same high quality of work.
- Able to establish a strong professional image maintain a positive workplace relationship and present oneself appropriately.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills including written skills.
- Must be highly detailoriented and have computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite SharePoint MS Teams and Google Drive. Knowledge of Canvas WordPress LibGuides and OCLC Discovery Services would be beneficial
- Able to travel to campus and flexible to work evenings and/or weekends as required. This is primarily an onsite position.
