Travel Ordering Processing Support Macdill Air Force Base Tampa FL The Travel Ordering Processing Support assists the United States Marine Corps Forces Central Command (MARCENT) and subordinate commands by serving within the manpower directorate task area. The positions primary mission involves assisting in the analysis of manpower requirements to support operations. Additionally the manpower directorate helps to advise and assist the Commander in matters relating to personnel operations management policy administration awards correspondence travel management the Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) Program and administrative support to all Marines stationed at MacDill AFB as well as individual augments in the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR). The Travel Ordering Processing Support directly supports services for MARCENTs G1 section including travel order processing support to ensure the efficient of MARCENT OAMS tasks. The Travel Ordering Processing Support will perform the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide travel orders processing support services.
- Execute travel arrangement coordination with travelers and designated DoD Commercial Travel Offices.
- Inform travelers on travel requirements allowances limitations and process travel claims coordinate settlement actions with associated finance/disbursing entities assist the Government Travel Charge Program Manager and support the Director Personnel Admin Center.
- Provide a capability to process (from inception to settlement) a minimum of 450 up to a maximum of 2800 travel claims per month.
EDUCATION - HS diploma or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE - Minimum ten years of military experience.
- Experience in processing travel orders and claims including coordination with travelers and travel offices.
- Experience managing travel arrangements including working with DoD Commercial Travel Offices and processing travel claims and settlements.
- Experience assisting with the Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) Program including processing related transactions and managing travelrelated documentation.
CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCIES Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities - Possess full understanding and experience of federal and DoD policies processes procedures and systems including Defense Travel System used to enable worldwide travel.
- Expertise in processing travel orders and claims from inception to settlement ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Proficient in coordinating travel arrangements with travelers and DoD Commercial Travel Offices including informing travelers about requirements allowances and limitations.
- Ability to handle a high volume of travel claims efficiently processing between 450 and 2800 claims per month.
- Advanced proficiency with groupware applications (SharePoint MS Teams) and the Microsoft Office suite (Word Power Point Excel etc. desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills desired.
WORKING CONDITIONS - Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus.
SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS - Travel is required.
- Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid drivers license current automobile insurance and a driving record that is acceptable to the companys auto insurance provider.
SECURITY CLEARANCE - A Secret clearance is required for this position.
