GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
- Medical Documentation & Clinical Assistance:
- Provides realtime medical documentation for physicians by observing and documenting patient encounters directly into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) during consultations.
- Assists licensed health care providers and nursing staff with general patient assessments rooming patients procedures treatments and maintaining medical records.
- Operation of EMR & Patient Care Tasks:
- Manages the EMR system focusing on the improvement of patient care efficiency related to documentation.
- Performs patient care tasks according to clinic standards and under the delegation of a registered nurse or licensed health care provider.
- Clinical Duties:
- Performs all clinical duties per licensed health care provider or delegation of a registered nurse designated specifically by the clinic.
- Provides assistance to licensed health care providers and nursing staff for general patient assessments rooming patients procedures treatments filing/retrieving medical records and general office clerical duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association or obtained within 3 months of hire.
- Required to successfully completion of AssessmentBased Recognition (ABR) program in order entry for electronic health records (EHRs) within 30 days of hire.
Skills:
- Phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Laboratory and/or Xray experience preferred.
Experience:
- Must have been employed for two of the last three years in a health care facility under the supervision of a licensed health care provider

SALARY RANGE
- $20.41to$30.02/hour
- Entry salary dependent upon education skill set and experience.
