GENERAL OBJECTIVES:

1. Medical Documentation & Clinical Assistance:
• Provides realtime medical documentation for physicians by observing and documenting patient encounters directly into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) during consultations.
• Assists licensed health care providers and nursing staff with general patient assessments rooming patients procedures treatments and maintaining medical records.
2. Operation of EMR & Patient Care Tasks:
• Manages the EMR system focusing on the improvement of patient care efficiency related to documentation.
• Performs patient care tasks according to clinic standards and under the delegation of a registered nurse or licensed health care provider.
3. Clinical Duties:
• Performs all clinical duties per licensed health care provider or delegation of a registered nurse designated specifically by the clinic.
• Provides assistance to licensed health care providers and nursing staff for general patient assessments rooming patients procedures treatments filing/retrieving medical records and general office clerical duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Required to successfully completion of AssessmentBased Recognition (ABR) program in order entry for electronic health records (EHRs) within 30 days of hire.

Skills:

• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

• Laboratory and/or Xray experience preferred.

Experience:

• Must have been employed for two of the last three years in a health care facility under the supervision of a licensed health care provider

SALARY RANGE

• $20.41to$30.02/hour
• Entry salary dependent upon education skill set and experience.
