STV is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to support a $3$5 billion dollar project in delivering highquality infrastructure projects. This role will be integral in reviewing analyzing and implementing geotechnical solutions in planning design and construction phases. The Geotechnical Engineer will receive structured onboarding and mentorship to progressively build technical expertise and leadership in geotechnical engineering within the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in team orientation gaining familiarity with projects systems and key personnel.
Conduct geotechnical assessments including scope development plan reviews and construction coordination.
Analyze and integrate specifications and guidelines into geotechnical tasks.
Independently perform ERC plan reviews scope evaluations and negotiations after the initial training period.
Attend projectrelated meetings including negotiations scope clarifications and construction reviews.
Collaborate with internal teams and consultants to develop geotechnical reports perform site visits and review construction methodologies.
Contribute to geotechnical operations including performance tracking budget analysis and research initiatives.
Provide ongoing technical guidance and continuous improvement recommendations for geotechnical practices.
Participate in construction site visits reviewing foundation installation plans and coordinating with representatives.
Assist in developing and implementing innovative geotechnical strategies and material applications.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (Masters preferred).
5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering preferably in transportation projects.
Working knowledge of specifications Soils & Foundations Handbook and construction guidelines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office SharePoint and geotechnical design/analysis software.
Strong analytical problemsolving and communication skills.
Ability to conduct site visits and work in field conditions as required.
