Job Description Technical Support Apprentice


The Opportunity

Our client is recruiting for a Technical Support Apprentice tojoin their team inLeicester.

The Position

Technical Support Apprentice

Apprenticeship Course:

Level 3 Information Communication Technician

Apprenticeship Duration:

Approx. 13 months EPA

Location:

Leicester LE4

Working Hours:

Monday Friday 9am 5:30pm

Salary:

15000 to 18000


Job Purpose

As a Technical Support Specialist you will be an important part of thedepartment and day to day responsibilities will include remote fault loggingand resolving remote support of onsite system installs and maintenance andlongterm relationship building with both existing and new customers andsuppliers. Full training provided to complement existing experience in IT Youwill work with and have the full support of 1st and 2nd line support teams atCisco and Open Reach UK further enhancing your skills as you work within ourteam learning about and working with the best cloud phone system technologyavailable in the UK


Essential requirements will require the employee to build strong clientrelationships work well individually or as part of a team communicateeffectively clearly understand customer requirements and provide excellentservice to customers and meet SLAs

KeyResponsibilities

  • Maintaining Hosted VoIP systems
  • Providing Tech Support
  • Understanding customer networks
  • Communicating effectively with suppliers such as Cisco
  • Updating customers within SLAs. Providing high quality customer service.
  • Basic Project management
  • Logging and resolving customer faults remotely.
  • Support in setup of phone systems and onsite phone system surveys
