Reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure andSecurity the Datacentre Operations Lead provides the strategicdevelopment and leadership for all aspects of the corporate data centrefacilities including processes and technologies and ensuring highavailability. Technical Services in support of the operation of the I/Sdatacentre(s) including enterprise technologies andapplications databases servers storage systems operating systemsbackup/disaster systems printing systems and cloud datacentreplatforms.
Provides systems management services to managethe system for optimal performance and capacity system tuning development andimplementation of solutions performance analysis in support of serversstorage or networks availability management asset management and securitymanagement.
GENERAL DUTIES
Manage of IT resourceallocations aligned with business priorities.
Manages and develop themonitoring and response metrics for a high availability 24/7.
Responsible for all keyfunctional policies and procedures for network architecture data centersstandards monitoring and service provision.
Manages and leads theconfiguration installation maintenance and troubleshooting of databases andenterprise software to meet the functional objectives of the business.
Manages and reviews issuesand problem logs relating to server and datacentre operations prioritizesoutstanding issues and develops resolution plan.
Maintains strongcommunications with IS and business leaders on availability and plannedshutdowns.
Collaborates with securityspecialist and technical architect on the development and implementation ofsecurity policies and procedures
Develops and managescapacity and resource plans assessing network
Stay current with industrybest practices for server and datacentre infrastructures security requirements.
Manages vendor servicelevel agreements (SLA) for hardware software and connectivity in accordancewith the procurement policies
1.University Degree orCollege Diploma in Computer Science Information Systems Computer Technologyor related discipline
2. 3 years of Data Centre Leadership responsibilities
3. Class G Drivers Licenserequired.
4. Extensive experience in client/server and OS including Windows Windows 10Server 2012/2016 and working knowledge of Linux
5. Extensive experience with installing configuring maintaining and supportingstorage area networks.
6. Extensive experience withinstalling configuring maintaining and supporting datacentre hardware(servers blades tape and virtual libraries UPS).
7. Extensive experience withinstalling configuring maintaining and supporting application and hardwarevirtualization.
8. Demonstrated skills inmobile and wireless technologies and architectures.
9. Good knowledge of the ITIL standard.
10. Knowledge and understandingof project management principles.
11. Strong working knowledge ofnetworking systems DNS WINS Active Directory)protocols and standards such as Ethernet LAN WAN VoIP DSLTCP/IP T1 802.11x and FibreOptics.
12. Experience configuring andmaintaining antivirus software firewallsintrusion detection systems and other network security measures.
13. Experience with installingconfiguring maintaining and supporting email technologies and protocolsincluding Exchange Server Mobile Device Management Office 365 hybrid Cloud environments.
Contract
