Job Description

HUD Grants Fiscal Administrator

Are you an experienced financial professional with expertise in federal grant management and a passion for compliance and accuracy This HUD Grants Fiscal Administrator position with a competitive salary range of $73000$86000/year (depending on experience) offers an exceptional worklife balance a structured and steady environment and extensive benefits valued at an additional $15000$20000 annually resulting in a total net compensation of $88000$106000 per year. This role provides a unique opportunity to oversee financial operations related to HUD federal grants while contributing to a wellsupported team in a predictable and consistent work environment.

In this role you will manage all fiscal processes for HUD grants ensuring that departments comply with all federal regulations. You will be responsible for reviewing expenses authorizing fund drawdowns and overseeing financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HUD regulations a CPA license and a passion for ensuring the integrity of financial operations. Youll contribute to the development of new systems and processes as well as improving existing ones.

This is an onsite inperson in Buffalo New York.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze HUD expenses to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
  • Manage drawdowns of HUD funds and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement fiscal procedures to maintain compliance across departments.
  • Improve existing systems and introduce new procedures to enhance financial operations.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports for cash flows and related functions.
  • Interact with auditors and monitor compliance with HUD regulations policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for the team as the role evolves.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional experience in accounting auditing or financial management with a focus on nonprofit organizations.
  • Experience with HUD regulations single audits and auditing processes is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to prepare and analyze financial records.
  • Ability to develop and implement fiscal procedures and reporting systems.

Education

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
  • Masters or Bachelors degree in Business Administration or a related field including or supplemented by 24 credit hours in Accounting/Auditing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with enterprisewide financial systems and software such as MUNIS HANSEN or similar.
  • Proven ability to manage and supervise teams particularly in financial or audit settings.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must live in the City of Buffalo or move to the City of Buffalo within 6 months of hire.
