Regent Universitys College of Arts and Sciences is seeking to fill a fulltime tenuretrack Assistant Professor of Government position beginning Fall 2025. This position will be located at Regent Universitys Virginia Beach VA campus.Applicants should have the ability to teach introductory courses in American Politics as well as upperlevel courses on the Legislative Process the American Presidency the American Judicial System and Constitutional Law. Preference will be given to candidates who can advise and coach our undergraduate moot court team. The ideal candidate will be familiar with American political thought and history and have an appreciation for American founding principles.

Qualifications:Either 1 a Ph.D. in Government or Political Science or 2 a combination of a JD and an MA in Government or Political Science. The candidate must have demonstrated teaching excellence in the field of government/political science with demonstrated scholarly potential in the field. A candidate with experience coaching or competing in moot court is preferred. The ideal candidate will also exemplify excellence innovation and integrity with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and mentoring students.
Expectations include 1 a dedication to Christcentered teaching and learning; 2 a record of or potential for academic scholarship; 3 the ability to teach undergraduatelevel courses; 4 facility with online instructional technology; and 5 a willingness to embrace the College and University Identity and Mission statements and subscribe to a statement of Christian faith.
