Overview

We are searching for a committed Learning Support Assistant to work in a fantastic Special School in Brentwood. that supports pupils aged 519 with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) Complex Needs and Physical Disabilities.

The ideal Learning Support Assistant will have experience working with pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) Complex Needs and Physical Disabilities. This role requires empathy patience and the ability to work collaboratively with students teachers and parents to create a supportive and welcoming learning environment.

Responsibilities

Learning Support Assistants responsibilities are:

  • Provide oneonone and small group support to students with MLD Complex Needs and Physical Disabilities; this will include providing Personal Care for pupils requiring it.
  • Assist in the implementation of Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Promote inclusion and diversity within the school community.
  • Support students during classroom activities ensuring their needs are met and they are able to participate to the fullest extent possible.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers parents and other support staff to provide feedback on student progress and any areas of concern.
  • Foster independence and encourage social and emotional development within the student population.

Requirements

Any potential Learning Support Assistants must fit the following requirements:

  • Must have an enhanced DBS certificate (Child&Adult Workforce) registered on the update service (If you do not have a current DBS we will charge 52.20.
  • Recent experience working with pupils with MLD Complex Needs and Physical Disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience empathy and a positive attitude.
  • Relevant qualifications in education special education or related fields are desirable.

Hours & Pay

If successful you will begin on a longterm supply role (at least 1214 academic weeks) with a permanent contract potentially available for excellent performance. There is a highly competitive rate of pay which is 425475 a week for working hours of 8.30am3.30pm.
Working days are MondayFriday termtime only.
