Job Description
Our Foam manufacturing facility located in Phoenix AZ is currently hiring for Forklift Operator
- ** Hours are MondayFriday 5AM 3PM**
- **Hourly pay is starting at $18.00/hr**
JOB SUMMARY
The Forklift Operator is pivotal in maintaining the seamless operation of our production lines ensuring materials are transported timely and safely within the facility to support ongoing production demands and operational efficiency.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- Operate forklifts heavy trailer equipment and other material handling equipment safely adhering to all safety protocols.
- Ensure timely transport of materials between production lines and storage areas.
- Safely unload and store materials from deliveries using appropriate equipment.
- Conduct daily checks and routine maintenance on forklifts; document in logbooks.
- Assist in shipping maintenance and yard tasks as needed.
- Follow safety guidelines wear protective gear and participate in safety trainings.
- Accurately document product movements and maintain detailed records.
- Identify and suggest improvements to enhance material handling efficiency and damages.
- Manage schedules effectively and adjust to changing production demands.
- Other duties as assigned.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Adherence to safety guidelines and procedures.
- Efficiency in material handling and transport.
- Accuracy of documentation and recordkeeping.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 1 year of experience operating a forklift safely and proficiently.
- Valid forklift operation certification.
- Ability to work under physically demanding conditions and withstand high temperatures.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Operating in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and physical conditions.
