Job Description

Heavy Equipment Operator

Northern & Southern California

Full-Time-Direct Hire

About:

A leading environmental construction and consulting firm is hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to support diverse infrastructure and remediation projects. Positions are available on a full-time part-time or contract basis across California.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate various equipment (excavators bulldozers backhoes trenchers forklifts etc.) for demolition earthwork and utility installation.

  • Conduct equipment inspections perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.

  • Assist with general labor when equipment is not in use.

  • Work under site supervisors adhering to strict safety protocols and job-specific procedures.

  • Travel and extended stays may be required based on project locations.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment operation experience.

  • Basic equipment maintenance and repair knowledge.

  • Strong communication decision-making and teamwork skills.

  • Valid CA Driver s License with a clean record.

  • Ability to pass physical and drug/alcohol screenings.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
