SUPPORT WORKER

DARLING DOWNS TOOWOOMBA
Your next role!
We are currently recruiting for a casual Support Worker to join our team based in Toowoomba.
As a Support Worker you will join the core support team and deliver community outreach and individualised core and capacity support services to Richmond Fellowship Queensland (RFQ) National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants.This includes but is not limited to:
- Supporting NDIS clients to work towards their specified goals and assist with communication and providing support to attend medical appointments.
- Collaborate with the team to complete NDIS reviews.
- Engage with clients in community activities and tasks of daily living.
You will need:
- A Diploma or Certificate IV in a human service related field or less formal qualifications with demonstrated previous experience working with people with mental illness.
- Experience working with vulnerable and disadvantaged persons and a positive attitude and towards those who are marginalised and disadvantaged.
- A strong sense of professional boundaries and integrity.
- Valid drivers license and access to a registered roadworthy and insured vehicle (minimum thirdparty property).
- Access to a smart phone to be used for work purposes.
