Executive Director of the Grayson College Foundation :
Role:

The Executive Director of the Grayson College Foundation leads the organizations fundraising efforts donor relations and strategic planning to support student success and institutional goals.

The salary for this position is $90453.02 $135679.52 per year.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • 25 Develops and executes shortterm and longterm goals that align with the colleges strategic plan for growth and student success and drives a culture of philanthropy throughout the college.
  • 20 Leads the development staff who work closely with college administration faculty and the board of directors of the Grayson College Foundation to manage fundraising efforts and meet development goals.
  • 15 Establishes and develops new and existing donor relationships to build the donor base levels of giving and donor loyalty in support of institutional priorities. Serves as the foundation representative at public events to build community awareness and support for college initiatives.
  • 10 Oversees the scholarship award process according to established guidelines to ensure accountability and reports the use of donors funds to the donors.
  • 10 Manages compliance by ensuring the foundation operates according to established bylaws and adheres to all regulations reporting and reordkeeping requirements related to fundraising and scholarship awards.
  • 5 Develops donor recognition events and other innovative development programs.
  • 5 Engages and recruits foundation board members and fosters board development through training and activities.
  • 5 Monitors the strength of investments with financial advisors and foundation board.
  • 5 Performs other duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:

  2. Complies with all laws and regulations regarding higher education charitable contributions and scholarship distribution.
  3. Achieves annual fundraising goals and devises strategic plans with increasing goals.
  4. Promotes strong management and organizational skills including the ability to adapt to change sound decisionmaking conflict resolution and accountability.
  5. Promotes positive leadership and goodwill while communicating with donors and potential donors alumni community leaders college administration staff and students.
  6. Demonstrates fiscal responsibility and accountability.
  7. Maintains and develops a qualified staff sufficient to meet the needs of department operations.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Experience: Five years to ten years of similar or related experience.
  • Education: A Bachelors degree.
  • Interpersonal Skills: The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job and a high level of interpersonal skills is critical to the success of this position. Work frequently involves contacts requiring considerable discussion of problems material presentations and resolving issues impacting departments or divisions.
  • Other Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills. Strong relationship building and networking skills.
  • Physical Requirements: The work is typically sedentary. However there may be some walking standing bending carrying of light items driving an automobile etc. Work will involve the ability to travel as needed to meet with donors and potential donors.
