Job Description

TRUCK & EQUIPMENT SERVICE PTY LTD is seeking a permanent full time Diesel Fitter/Light Vehicle Mechanic join our team in Cairns Far North Queensland.

We are a wellrespected and busy heavy diesel workshop operating in Cairns since 2006 located in the Woree industrial area.

This is a role that would suit someone with previous experience in heavy diesel vehicles or a light vehicle mechanic willing to learn and take on these duties.

Truck and Equipment is offering the right applicant on the job training and support.

You would be carrying out the following duties:

Carrying out servicing and repairs on heavy vehicles

Carrying out preventative maintenance and inspections

Breakdown work

To be successful in this role you will need:

Reliable and strong work ethic

Ability to work as part of a close team and independently

Exceptional time management and organisation skills

Knowledge of diesel engine systems components and diagnostic tools would be an advantage

Excellent problem solving and technical troubleshooting skill

License & Qualifications:

Qualified Diesel Fitter or Light Vehicle Mechanic

Current Drivers licence

License & Qualifications Desirable
