We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Medical Assistant to join Primary Care practice in Dedham/Westwood MA. This role will be primarily administrative focusing on tasks such as scheduling appointments insurance verifications handling phone inquiries and processing prior authorizations. The ideal candidate will be a detailoriented and organized individual who thrives in a fastpaced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Job Title: Medical Assistant Primary Care Practice Location: Dedham/Westwood MA Schedule: FullTime 40 hours per week 8:30 AM 5:00 PM Monday Friday)
Duration: 13 weeks
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support: Manage patient appointments including scheduling and rescheduling as needed.
Insurance Verifications: Confirm insurance coverage and handle related inquiries.
Prior Authorizations: Process and followup on prior authorizations for medications treatments and procedures.
Phone Management: Answer and triage phone calls providing accurate information to patients or directing them to the appropriate team member.
General Office Tasks: Maintain patient records assist with front office duties and ensure smooth clinic operations.
Qualifications:
Active Medical Assistant Certification is required.
Experience in a Primary Care Practice preferred.
Local Candidates Only within a 20mile radius of Dedham/Westwood MA.
BILH Coversheet is required with application submission.
COVID Vaccination Booster and Flu Vaccine required at the time of submission (declinations will not be accepted). If the candidate does not currently have the flu vaccine an attestation confirming receipt prior to the start date will be accepted.
Restrictions: Candidates must not have worked as a permanent or travel employee within any Beth Israel facility in the past year.
Compensation: $22.00 $28.00 per hour
