Job Description

Job Summary

The Engagement Content and Communications Specialist works in close coordination with the Assistant Director of Resource and Operations to advance the Career Centers mission by leading the planning developing and operational implementation of communication and outreach projects revolving around career services resources and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning development delivery and assessment of Career Center engagement strategy and communication content
  • Operational optimization to ensure seamless delivery of all Career Center events and programs
  • Communications and outreach plan implementation including accurate and timely publications of event and programming assets newsletters reports and outcomes across all types of media print digital and inperson

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrated excellence in written communication
  • Strong skill in effective communication with stakeholders to drive involvement including identifying needs responding efficiently and effectively and interacting with diplomacy
  • Skill in developing and publishing web content
  • Skill in embedding elements such as images videos tables and data feeds into web pages
  • Skill in organizing websites for optimal navigation and in searchengine optimization
  • Skill in video editing using various tools such as Camtasia Adobe Premier Pro Adobe Rush or similar
  • Skill in basic graphic design editing with Adobe Illustrator and/or InDesign or similar
  • Skill in generating writing and publishing enews content
  • Basic skill in database navigation
  • Ability to take initiative and independently plan prioritize and complete multiple tasks and projects with diverse stakeholders in a fastpaced setting
  • Skill in the research development and evaluation of instruction and engagement content
  • Possess strong attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities with a solution focus
  • Ability to collaborate with and support a diverse team and organization
  • Ability to share and receive regular feedback and apply that feedback to continuous improvement of services and programs
  • Basic knowledge of technical troubleshooting and support tiers

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelors degree and/or equivalent training
  • Two 2 years of administrative work experience involving study analysis and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies procedures practices or programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors and/or Masters degree
  • Two 2 years of experience related to project management and/or communications and marketing

Compensation

Classification: Administrative Analyst/Specialist Exempt I
Anticipated Hiring Range: $5600/month $5853/month
CSU Salary Range: $4379/month $7922/month
