Automotive Technician Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Work experience 2 years as an automotive technician required.
- Alevel qualifications including diagnostic electrical and engine repair.
- Basic computer skills
- ASE or additional certifications increase value.
- Must be able to pass a background check drug test and MVR.
Automotive Technician Responsibilities
- Complete system diagnostics and full automotive troubleshooting/testing
- Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
- Road test vehicles to ensure quality work as needed.
- Communicate directly with service advisors regarding the status of the service work.
- Perform efficient and accurate work in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
