Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits surveys and assessments to gather data and information for water and sanitation projects.
- Develop detailed engineering designs and plans for water supply wastewater treatment and sanitation infrastructure.
- Prepare technical reports specifications and cost estimates for project implementation.
- Coordinate and oversee construction activities ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and specifications.
- Work closely with local authorities communities and other stakeholders to promote community participation and ensure project sustainability.
- Monitor project progress evaluate performance and provide regular updates to project stakeholders.
- Implement quality assurance and quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and project delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional registration as a Civil Engineer.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in water and sanitation engineering projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software.
- Strong project management skills including the ability to prioritize tasks meet deadlines and work efficiently with limited supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of local regulations codes and standards related to water and sanitation infrastructure.
- Experience working in Bloemfontein or other South African municipalities is preferred.
