What We Need YOU To Do:
The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest environmental specialist with the Division of Environmental Response and Revitalization (DERR) at our Northeast District Office in Twinsburg Ohio.

As an environmental specialist youll perform district site coordinator and RCRA Inspector duties for hazardous waste facilities undergoing site assessment and cleanup through Ohios Voluntary Action Program (VAP) and other state and federal programs. Youll review prepare and/or implement work plans sampling plans reports and technical memoranda associated with assigned sites/properties.
Youll investigate complaints and inspect sites of contaminated environmental or wasterelated media to verify compliance with existing permits and/or state and federal regulations and determine the effectiveness of existing remedial remedies.
Youll coordinate with agency personnel and other state and federal agencies to assist responsible parties and hazardous waste facilities with noncompliance issues and identify and initiate necessary enforcement actions when necessary.
Youll participate in public hearings enforcement meetings settlement negotiations and provide technical assistance to citizens consultants and the regulated community on compliance with requirements in DERRs hazardous waste and cleanup programs.
