This position in the Project Services organization has sound knowledge of business processes in the area of Project and Portfolio Management Software Development Lifecycles (ex Waterfall Agile etc.. Project Management Methodologies and industry practices including PMBOK and CMMI. This position is responsible for managing activities related project and portfolio metrics and tracking and ensures alignment of IT projects with department practices and guidelines. In that capacity this position is responsible for the following:
Product Consultants are the primary facilitators for their product. Product Consultants are responsible for optimizing the value proposition. They anticipate issues and/or complications and respond well to time pressures.
Serves as domain specific subject matter expert for their assigned product line.
Work with IT Portfolio Managers and Project Managers support and development teams to provide subject matter expertise in the daytoday support of the PMO / project and portfolio management practices and PMO process and tools expertise.
Work with suppliers to ensure client expectations are met to onboard supplier team members and to ensure supplier alignment with PMO practices.
Create and maintain departmentwide dashboard comprising all planned active and closed projects enabling quantitative and qualitative analysis and reporting of the portfolio.
Develop analysis techniques and insights to identify projects that may require additional review.
Support Business Continuity Processes for the PMO.
Monitor and execute IT controls and work closely with internal and external auditors and/or internal risk functions as needed.
Manage and communicate problem resolution and system restoration status during unplanned outage events to LOB and IT Senior Management.
After hours callout is required.
Develop and maintain an indepth technical and business knowledge of the PMO / portfolio and project management processes to ensure efficient design programming testing and implementation of recommended solutions. Maintain currency in designated technology (ex ServiceNow Primavera etc) functional areas including upcoming enhancements and industry trends.
Required:
o Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field and 6 years of relevant experience in the technology field; in lieu of a degree 10 years of relevant experience in the technology field may be considered.
o Demonstrated leadership capabilities through projects or other work planning experiences
o Understanding of and experience in IT project management methodologies requirements management quality assurance and IT processes.
o Requires broad knowledge of the business areas functions and applications and of system and technology alternatives
o Demonstrated experience managing outsourced vendors (on and off shore) within the information technology field.
o Indepth knowledge of PMO / portfolio and project management functions applications and technology alternatives
o Provide application and solutions consulting for PMO / Portfolio and Project Management business processes and supporting tools.
o Knowledge of ServiceNow SmartSheet Primavera and other technologies and tools that support PMO activities.
o Understanding of Demand Management concepts regarding Project Portfolios
o Understanding of Resource Management concepts
o Understanding of IT Financial Management concepts (GAAP CapEx Opex Cloud computing arrangements etc)
o Ability to understand correlate and analyze large amounts of various Project Portfolio data
Ability to create senior level presentations via various mediums trong oral and written communication skills

PMP Certification Required
ITIL CMS CSPO preferred but not required
