You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailUpward Bound (UB) RAs will live in an ISU residence hall during the month of June while they oversee and mentor high school participants in the Upward Bound summer program. RAs will supervise students in the residence hall organize group activities accompany students to on and off campus classes and activities and provide mentorship to students. They will also be responsible for the general safety and development growth and skill achievement of UB participants.
Responsibilities and Duties include:
Work Environment:
Must live in ISU residence hall June 8July 3 (room and board paid by Upward Bound). This job will operate in an ISU residence hall academic buildings recreational areas and off campus cultural facilities. Some hours will be spent outdoors. Must have the physical ability to lead and participate in activities which include but are not limited to escorting students around the ISU campus physical education classes swimming team building initiatives and physical games and activities.
Travel:
An outofstate college and cultural trip is tentatively planned for July 711 in Atlanta GA. RAs are invited on the trip pending their job performance during the summer program. All expenses are paid by Upward Bound and RAs are compensated for 40 hours of work during that time.
Job Timeline:
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
