Are you looking for anadventurous opportunity and a gratifying career The industry leader BoartLongyear Mechanic position is just for you. We are looking for individuals wholike working with their hands and finds satisfaction in keeping drill rigsoperational.
In this position youwill gain valuable knowledge of our fleet of drill rigs and supportequipment. Time will be spent both inthe workshop and traveling to jobsites as required. Duties in the workshop will include trainingequipment repairs and overhauls. Timespent in the field will be for routine maintenance on equipment and emergency breakdown repairs at various locations.

Job Responsibilities:
- Applicants should be eager to learn be selfmotivated and have a desire to become a team leader.
- This person will perform a variety of duties designed to service repair and maintain Boart Longyears Fleet of underground drill rigs and support equipment.
- Some of the repairs you will be performing include working an electric powered hydraulic system diesel powered hydraulic systems and machinery as well as high pressure pneumatic systems.
- Must have the ability to diagnose hydraulic problems in equipment and be able to perform quick turnaround to get these rigs back in operation.
- Electrical certification desired
- Mechanic must be able to remain in a standing position for extended periods of time. You need to be able to lift your arms above shoulder level to install and remove broken or wornout components.
- You must have skills in the care and use of hand and power tools and be able to manipulate these tools in areas of limited space.
- You must be able to work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.
- Perform routine maintenance of equipment
- Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions
- Be willing to travel
- Must be able to work well with others and have a positiveattitude
- Must be able to communicate with supervisor driller andsafety personnel
- Must be able to work with little or no supervision
- 13 years of mechanic experience
- Must have hydraulic systems experience
- Knowledge of highpressure air systems i.e. screw compressors and boosters is a plus.
- Knowledge of duplex and triplex mud pumps is a plus.
- Electrical experience or certification is a plus.
- Be able to lift 100 pounds frequently
- Pass a drug screen
- Pass a background check
- Must have own tools
- Must have a valid drivers license and be able to attain a CDL
- Must be able to be MSHA/OSHA certified
- Requires a High School diploma GED or equivalent
