Job Description
Description of the role:
As a Breakfast Server at Park Place Hotel in Traverse City Michigan you will be responsible for setting up and serving breakfast to guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
Take food and drink orders from guests
Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately
Provide excellent customer service and address any guest inquiries or concerns
Clear tables and clean the breakfast area
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role preferred
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and multitask
Attention to detail and time management skills
Knowledge of food safety guidelines

- Follows all safe food handling procedures.
- Knowledgeable of all continental breakfast core items.
- Maintains breakfast area in a clean functional manner.
- Informs management of all guestrelated problems and any shortages of core items.
- Knowledgeable of safety and security measures of the hotel.
- Must be able to work early morning shifts.
- During peak business times or during times of employee shortages must be willing to assist with duties in other departments including housekeeping laundry and front desk.
- Maintains a clean lobby and breakfast area.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be able to pass certification from health department if required.
- Experience: Prior food handling experience preferred.
- Specific job knowledge skills and abilities:
- Communicate effectively with other employees and guests.
- Follow instructions as directed.
- Ability to read write and understand basic English.
- Ability to learn and apply safe food handling practices.
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs. frequently.
- Ability to lift bend crouch/stoop climb stand reach twist and push and pull equipment.
- Must maintain a neat clean and wellgroomed appearance.
