The role
Were seeking a datadriven and growthoriented Principal Product Marketing Manager to lead the marketing strategy for SoFis Small Business Lending & Banking business and the Lanterncredit marketplace. This role will own the value proposition gotomarket (GTM) plan acquisition and engagement strategy and will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of SoFis SMB financial products.
As the Principal Product Marketing Manager you will define and drive marketing strategies based on deep consumer insights and a passion for helping small business owners thrive. Youll collaborate closely with product brand channel owners lifecycle finance and the business unit to optimize our messaging positioning and channel mix to drive strong business outcomes. This is a highimpact handson individual contributor (IC) role with a unique opportunity to build the next big pillar for SoFis growth.
What youll do:
- Act as the CMO for SMB/Lantern developing both a longterm strategic vision and executing nearterm GTM initiatives
- Develop own and iterate frequently on the SMB value proposition product positioning and gotomarket strategies
- Develop execute and optimize multichannel acquisition strategies with a growth marketing mindset based on consumer competitive and Member insights
- Work alongside our inhouse creative studio and channel owners to develop channelspecific plans write creative briefs and develop creative that will be deployed across those channels.
- Manage the channel allocation mix and bonus strategy to optimize acquisition
- Collaborate with product engineering and data science teams to influence roadmap prioritization and ensure strong alignment with marketing efforts
- Manage the prioritization of engagement initiatives in lifecycle marketing to drive product usage
- Manage all marketing initiatives related to the Lanterncredit Marketplace
What youll need:
- 8 years of Product Marketing experience in the SMB space with a deep understanding of small business owners and their financial needs and quantifiable revenue responsibility
- Growth: Direct experience driving rapid growth for a technology product preferably with a SMB target customer base.
- Strategy and : Experience combining strategic thinking with tactical to drive customer acquisition through diverse channel mixes
- Customer Research: Experience in leading quantitative and qualitative customer research and distill it into actionable insights
- Analytics: Use data to drive strategy and optimization
- Initiative & Bias for Action: Eagerness to roll up your sleeves to get things done (even the unglamorous things)
- Flexibility: Problemsolve in a fastpaced selfdriven environment
- Experience with marketplaces is a plus.
- Bachelors degree required
