Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Design drip micro and pivot irrigation systems pump stations steel structures and piping systems.
- Conduct site inspections and surveys to assess project requirements and constraints.
- Compile schedules for quantity estimation and project planning.
- Liaise with clients to understand their needs and goals and incorporate feedback into designs.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations standards and best practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum of Grade 12 with Mathematics.
- Proven experience as a Civil Designer specifically in surveying terrain analysis and water systems.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D software.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Valid drivers license.
- Fluency in English and Afrikaans both written and verbal.
- A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or Agriculture is advantageous.
- Completion of any relevant courses offered by the South African Irrigation Institute (SABI) is a plus.
- Strong problemsolving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
- Time management skills to meet project deadline
