Carlow Universitys School of Nursing Department of Graduate Nursing is seeking a fulltime 12month tenuretrack Assistant or Associate Professor of Nursing for the Oakland campus located in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to begin on August 15 2025. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with educational preparation and experience. The fulltime tenuretrack faculty will have primary teaching responsibilities in the PMHNP program. Will have a doctoral degree (PhD EdD or DNP or other doctorate) national certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and eligible for Pennsylvania RN licensure and certification as PMHNP. Recent clinical experience is required. Expectations are consistent with the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Facultys (NONPF) Core Competencies 2022 and the American Academy of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Core Competencies for Professional Education 2021. Candidates should have prior experience in nursing education and leadership along with clinical expertise. The program is offered as a Master of Science for those looking to enhance their career or as a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study for those already Mastered prepared as advanced practice nurses. A postMSN completion program is also offered for those students interested in a terminal Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. Required Experience/Qualifications: Valid current unrestricted Pennsylvania RN and CRNP Licenses. Doctoral degree (DNP PhD EdD or other related degree) National certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Clearances Upon hire and updated every three years to include ACT 153 Clearances (FBI Fingerprints Child Abuse and PA State Police). Preferred Experience/Qualifications: Evidence of at least five years of clinical experience in the PMHNP role. Demonstrated expertise in teaching in an academic or clinical setting with nursing students or practicing nurses.
