About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Level 3 Social Worker Critical Care to join the Social Work Department at Northern Beaches Hospital on a full time basis.
You will be responsible for providing a high standard of clinical care work in partnership with Medical Officers and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide assessment and evidence based treatment.
You will be expected to participate in our social work weekend oncall roster.
Selection Criteria:
Degree in Social Work and eligibility to the AASW
4 years minimum experience working as a qualified social worker
Demonstrated experience working in an Acute Care Facility
Extensive clinical experience in the areas of Aged Care and General Medicine
Demonstrated experience providing supervision
Highly developed social work assessment and counselling skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated effective interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands meet deadlines and complete activities within scope of practice
