Key Responsibilities

As the Business Development Manager you will be instrumental in driving the companys growth within the insurance sector. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:

    • Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities building a robust sales pipeline through prospecting and networking.
    • Develop and nurture longterm relationships with new and existing clients demonstrating the value of the companys innovative insurance solutions.
  • Strategic Sales Development:

    • Manage the endtoend sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals ensuring alignment with the companys strategic objectives.
    • Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute strategic plans contributing to the overall growth and success of the organization.
  • Product and Market Expertise:

    • Stay informed about industry trends and client needs to inform product design pricing and risk mitigation strategies.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to clients and prospects effectively communicating the benefits of the companys insurance products and services.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role candidates should demonstrate the following:

  • Education & Experience:

    • Postsecondary education with a business focus or equivalent industry experience.
    • 35 years of experience in business development or account management with a successful track record in B2B settings.
    • Experience in creditor insurance insurtech/fintech or the mortgage and/or auto financing sectors would be an asset.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in lead generation sales processes and closing techniques.
    • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop innovative sales and marketing strategies.
  • Key Competencies:

    • Exceptional active listening and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify and address client needs effectively.
    • A proactive and adaptable mindset thriving on challenges and willing to step out of comfort zones.
    • Strong professional image and style with the ability to project confidence and build trust with clients.
