Job Description

Description

Participates in the preparation procurement delivery and preservation of all solid organs procured for transplantation (kidney heart lung pancreas and liver). Assists in the operative procedure for the procurement of solid organs.



Qualifications

EDUCATION: Associates degree with at least two years of operating room environmentperforming and/or assisting with surgical procedures or High School diploma with successful completion of a Surgical Technology Certificate Program. Certification as Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or Certified Transplant Preservationist (CTP) preferred. Must have proficiency in sterile technique. Must have strong organizational skills the ability to multitask andeffectively prioritize workload. Must possess strong computer skills that should include Word Excel andOutlook. Familiarity with Mayo Clinic computerized medicalrecordsystemand supplyorderingapplicationspreferred.Mustbeabletomaintain the Mayo Clinic Values when interacting with staff within Mayo Clinic and at external facilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. MusthavevalidFlorida DriversLicense(ClassE).
