Job Description
Angott Search Group is pleased to partner with the largest locally controlled financial institution headquartered in the northern Indianasouthwestern Michigan area in their search for a Senior Commercial Lender.
In this role you will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of commercial lending relationships providing financial solutions to businesses in the region. As a trusted advisor you will work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and objectives structuring loan packages that support their growth and success.
The selected candidate will:
- Develop and maintain relationships with commercial banking clients in Lafayette and surrounding areas.
- Evaluate loan requests including financial analysis and risk assessment to determine creditworthiness and appropriate loan structures.
- Structure and negotiate commercial loan transactions including term loans lines of credit and commercial real estate financing.
- Collaborate with internal teams including credit analysts and underwriters to ensure timely and accurate processing of loan applications.
- Monitor and manage existing loan portfolios including conducting regular credit reviews and identifying opportunities for additional services.
- Stay abreast of market trends and industry developments to identify potential business opportunities and mitigate risks.
The qualified candidate will have:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Business Administration or related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial lending with a proven track record of success in business development and portfolio management.
- Strong financial analysis skills including the ability to analyze financial statements and evaluate credit risk.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fastpaced teamoriented environment.
- Knowledge of commercial lending regulations and compliance requirements.
