Position Description: Urology Faculty Position Department of Urologic Surgery The Department of Urologic Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is seeking a board certified/board eligible urologist to provide subspecialty care for patients seeking gender affirming surgery at the academic medical center and community sites. The position is being recruited at the academic level appropriate for the successful candidate. The candidate would join a wellestablished Gender Affirmation program with internists endocrinologists plastic surgeons gynecologists and psychologists to provide fullservice transgender care. Candidates should have completed a fellowship in reconstructive or genderaffirming surgery (or the equivalent experience). Responsibilities include direction of the surgical portion of the transgender program didactic/clinical teaching and supervision of residents in the urologic surgery program building and maintaining a vibrant clinical practice including oncall coverage as well as potential shared responsibility for staffing the VA hospitals urology service. Position Requirements/Details Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology Eligible for medical licensure in Wisconsin Interest in pursuing a career in academic medicine Robotics training desired Responsible for growing the community based urology program Initial contributions to MCW and departmental missions in the areas of patient care teaching clinical research scholarly activities and administration/service will be as follows: Patient Care: 80 Clinical activities will be primarily focused on clinic and hospital coverage Research Teaching and Scholarly Activities: 20 Faculty appointment will be offered and options for resident education research and other academic options exist. Administration/Service: The candidate will be expected to participate actively in multidisciplinary conferences organized by the Department.
