The Opportunity

As part of Austals sustainment program this role is responsible for managing and coordinating all activities required to ensure Defence vessel programs for in service support and maintenance are delivered on time and in accordance with contractual requirements. The PM will establish a multi disciplined team and drive performance through functional enablement to deliver on the project objectives. The PM will ensure that appropriate project management methodology and control is deployed whilst providing leadership to the project team to ensure deliverables are achieved safely

and to the required quality standards.

Whats involved

  • Enable and empower project team to deliver to cost schedule and quality to meet or exceed customer and contractual obligations.
  • Ensure appropriate PM methodology and tools are developed and deployed to manage the
  • Ensure a compliant Earned Value Management System (EVMS) is implemented and maintained for the project.
  • Establish and maintain stakeholder (internal and external) relationships for the life of the project

Youll need

Essential

  • 5 yrs demonstrable Project Management experience
  • 5 yrs demonstrable experience working in performancebased contracting
  • Previous demonstrable project management experience with Defence / Commercial contracts.

Desirable

  • Previous demonstrable Maritime Maintenance Operations Marine/Ship Repair Experience
  • Project management Experience in Shipbuilding/Repair Industry
  • Project Management certification through a professional PM Body
  • Demonstrable experience with Ship Management
  • Degree or trade qualification in a recognised maritime discipline.
