Performs clinical anesthesia duties and takes appropriate responsibility for direct patient care and for oncall as assigned. Prioritizes anesthetic decisions administers anesthetic agents following protocols and guidelines and communicates patient status to healthcare team members. This individual performs coordinating duties by facilitating staff coverage assignments and breaks in the surgical area. This individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span. The ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patients agespecific needs is required. The CRNA demonstrates leadership through involvement on committees and/team projects education and research and actively seeks to improve the practice of nursing through performance improvement initiatives. This individual is active in professional organizations and participates in community activities. The CRNA will ensure that the patient and family are partners in the plan of anesthesia care.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and nurse anesthesia.
PRACTICE SPECIFICS
This is a fulltime 1.0 FTE CRNA in Duluth MN.
- Medically directed practice with collegial Anesthesiologists
- This position is open to new graduates
- There is a $50000 bonus for this position
- Moving expense reimbursement available
- Busy surgical schedule that includes all but transplants and pediatric hearts
- The CRNA in this position will work at the following locations:
- St. Marys Medical Center 344bed tertiary hospital Level I Trauma Center high acuity new facility opened July 2023
- Essentia Health Surgery CenterMiller Hill 4 ORs
- St. Marys Hospital Superior WI; 2 ORs and 2 Endo Suites (approximately 90 outpatient surgery)
- Essentia HealthDuluth 165beds 11 ORs (approximately 80 outpatient cases
- Outpatient Endoscopy Center
EDUCATION
- Must be a graduate (Masters or Doctorate) of an accredited school of anesthesia.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS
- Current (or ability to obtain) licensure as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist in Minnesota.
- Current certification in CPR BCLS/ACLS
- Certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists; and has graduated from an accredited school of nurse anesthesia and is awaiting initial certification. *Must pass certification exam within 12 months of graduation.
- Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
