Job Description
Project Engineer
Aversan Inc.www.aversan is a trusted multiservice engineering and electronics manufacturing company. Aversan delivers leadingedge and reliable safetycritical electronics and software systems to the aerospace defence and space industries.
We are currently seeking a qualified Project Engineer to join our team.
Location: Mississauga ON
Responsibilities
- Lead the integrated product development team working on safetycritical embedded controllers to meet cost schedule and technical objectives
- Establish and maintain detailed technical plans estimates and schedules
- Facilitate scope/requirement discussions with technical teams and customer
- Lead the solution definition process from requirements definition through design development validation and verification and introduction to production
- Ensure that project objectives are communicated to the project team and monitor that all technical project activities are aligned with the project schedule
- Track and report program progress costs risks and milestones
- Lead internal and external design reviews and technical coordination meetings
- Ensure compliance with Aerospace Engineering Processes
- Coordinate proposal and quotation activities for RFP/RFI submission
- Responsible for the Engineering Solution
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electronics Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience in Project Management managing cost schedule (MS Project) resources risk management PMP Certificate is an asset
- Working experience of overall engineering disciplines systems software hardware development certification for the aerospace electronics product
- Working knowledge/familiarity with standards DO178 DO254 and DO160 is an asset
- Take ownership of deliverables and coordinate with required stakeholders to meet deadlines
- Track timeline to delivery in high fidelity and report progress to program management
- Experience with managing engineering changes and nonconformances through established processes
- Experience with executive communication ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Excellent customer and supplier management skills
- Individuals who are selfmotivated and able to work with little supervision who consistently take the initiative to get things done
