Job Description
Job Title: Project Resource Managers
Job Location: EMD SRDI 45A Middlesex Turnpike Billerica MA 01821
Job Responsibilities:
- Drives realization of the Chief Medical Office (CMO) digital strategy leading the Medical Digital Matrix team and additional dotted line reporting;
- Develops current and future business requirements for Digital & Technology solutions within the Medical Organization and ensures effective planning & operationalization of the technology roadmap in close collaboration with the IT business partner;
- Acts as expert and advisor assessing business requirements & solution proposals from the CMO organization in line with the overall CMO (digital) strategy;
- Supports project teams on rollout communication and change management plans to enable successful technology adoption in the organization;
- Proactively drives alignment and ensures collaboration of key internal stakeholders (across functions and across global/regional/local level) coordination of crossfunctional interfaces within CMO organization and outside serves as key interface to IT R&D organization;
- Serves as best practice resource within the CMO organization recommends operational best practices (from internal and external sources) and proactively identifies potential improvement projects to enhance efficiency in operations and management by applying specific skill sets (e.g. Lean & Six Sigma Agile PM Design Thinking); and
- Monitors compliance with internal & external regulations with a clear sense of how to protect company reputation and prevent allegations.
Job Requirements:
Employer requires a Bachelors degree in Business Administration or a closely related field with at least 10 years of progressively more responsible work experience in the pharmaceutical industry including clinical research and drug development activities.
(Employer is willing to accept two years of work experience in business administration or a closely related field in lieu of a bachelors degree in business administration or a closely related field. Such candidates must also have at least 10 years of progressively more responsible work experience in the pharmaceutical industry including clinical research and drug development activities.
OR
Masters degree in business administration or a closely related field with at least 8 years of progressively more responsible work experience in the pharmaceutical industry including clinical research and drug development activities.
OR
PhD degree in business administration or a closely related field with at least 4 years of progressively more responsible work experience in the pharmaceutical industry including clinical research and drug development activities.
Alternatively employer is willing to accept any of the following:
Bachelors degree in Medicine Life Sciences or a closely related field with at least 10 years of progressively more responsible work experience in the pharmaceutical industry including project management activities.
(Employer is willing to accept two years of work experience in medicine life science or a closely related field in lieu of a Bachelors degree in Medicine Life Sciences or a closely related field. Such candidates must also have at least 10 years of progressively more responsible work experience in the pharmaceutical industry including project management activities.
OR
Masters degree in Medicine Life Sciences or a closely related field with at least 8 years of progressively more responsible work experience in the pharmaceutical industry including project management activities.
OR
Ph D degree in Medicine Life Sciences or a closely related field with at least 4 years of progressively more responsible work experience in the pharmaceutical industry including project management activities.
Additionally the employer requires the following:
- Demonstrated understanding of departmental cost and resource planning gained through 4 years of work experience;
- Demonstrated understanding of change and performance management gained through 4 years of work experience;
- Demonstrated ability in using analytical methods to analyze big data gained through 4 years of work experience;
- Demonstrated ability in strategic planning and financial reporting gained through 4 years of work experience;
- Demonstrated ability to use scenario thinking to consider given constraints (resources budget etc. gained through 4 years of work experience;
- Demonstrated ability to manage drug development projects spanning more than one country where regulatory requirements are different gained through 4 years of work experience; and
- Demonstrated ability to manage crossnational crossfunctional and multicultural teams gained through experience working for an international company preferably a European company.
15 International and 5 Domestic Travel is Required.
All years of experience may be gained concurrently.
