Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inprocess and final inspections of new and rental products.
• Perform functional tests on piece parts.
• Perform inspection of assemblies.
• Perform visual inspection of components and assemblies in accordance with applicable documents.
• Work with customer inspectors to examine products.
• Assist engineering and operations in investigating product failures.
• Assist outside suppliers with problems related to subcontracted parts.
• Assist in the training of other personnel as required.
• Perform simple calibrations and maintain records for various tools instruments and gauges used in the manufacturing and inspection processes.
• Collaborate with design engineering and testing groups to confirm the efficacy of R&D in new and existing components and assemblies.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma/GED required
• 1 3 Years Experience is required

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Familiar with and knowledgeable in the use of the typical measuring tools used for mechanical inspection such as dial calipers micrometers hardness testers optical contour projectors hard gauges and Gage maker MicTrac system.
• Familiar with current health safety & environmental (HSE) training as per division training matrix (Including regulatory and SES required courses).
• Knowledge of relevant equipment policies procedures and strategies to promote safe operations.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and software such as Microsoft Word and Excel including programming used for Quality Control and Inspection activities.
• Applicable PPE is required to complete assigned tasks.
• Must have a working knowledge of high school mathematics.
• Familiar with Quality Systems and requirements.
• Familiarity with manufacturing of oil fieldrelated products and Specifications.
• Reading and understanding specifications and other workrelated documents.
• Identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and recommend solutions.
• Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Conducting tests and inspections of products services or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
• Must be able to read interpret and work from blueprints drawings schematics diagrams sketches and/or specifications.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Sitting for extended periods without being able to leave the work area.
• Standing for extended periods without being able to leave the work area.
• Climbing ladders scaffolding work in overhead areas etc.
• Walking considerable distances please indicate.
• Lifting Up to 50 Lbs. minimum & on an occasional basis.
• Pulling and/or pushing on a frequent basis
• Carrying regularly carries objects in his/her arms or on the shoulder(s)
• Grasping regularly picks up objects with fingers.
• Reaching regularly required to use hands and arms to reach objects.
• Stooping/Crouching regularly required to bend forward by bending at the waist or by bending legs and spine
• Crawling required to work in confined space crawl and move about on hands and knees
• Near Acuity requires clarity at 20 feet or more with or without corrective lenses
• Speaking requires expressing ideas through the spoken word.
• Listening requires the perception of speech or the nature of sounds in the air.
