The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Care at Vancouver Acute is searching for a fulltime Anesthesiologist to join our team. With over 70 members we are one of the largest anesthesia departments in Canada and provide all anesthesia care at Vancouver Acutes two acute care hospitals Vancouver General Hospital and University of British Columbia Hospital.
Members of the department are involved in all aspects of adult anesthesia subspecialty care including perioperative medicine intraoperative anesthesia care critical care and pain management in an academic and quaternary care setting. Vancouver Acute is British Columbias provincial referral centre for a large number of surgical programs including; neurosurgery cardiac surgery (including major aortic reconstruction) thoracic surgery spine surgery transplant surgery (liver lung kidney and pancreas) complex urological gynecological and general oncology surgery complex joint reconstruction and robotic surgery. Vancouver General Hospital is also a level 1 trauma centre.
Vancouver Acute is a core academic site of the Department of Anesthesiology Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the University of British Columbia.
