Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. To process US Customs entry documents in accordance with all client and company instructions.

2. Filing of Import Security Filings (ISF)

3. Timely response to customer inquiries and status requests.

4. To notify management of any customer complaints or entry discrepancies and provide suggestions to resolve issues.

5. To distribute outgoing documents regularly and accurately according to any required schedule.

6. Assure all customer files are complete accurate and reconciled.

7. Close communication with customers carriers U.S. Customs and CFS representatives.

8. Complete workload duties within normal and reasonable processing times.
9. Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Manager.


Qualifications:

1. Two years minimum experience in most phases of the CHB function.

2. Should have a working knowledge of the terms and jargon that Customs other government agencies vendors carriers and import customers use.

3. Attention to detail deadlineoriented dependable persistence time management independent documentation skills scheduling and reporting skills.

4. Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and vendors.

5. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage the flow of several shipments during a given day.

6. Ability to make suggestions to the Dept. Manager on corrective actions or process improvements.
