Responsibilities
The school seeks candidates to teach undergraduate courses in communications and digital video production. The typical teaching load is the equivalent of 9 credits per semester. The successful candidate is expected to develop an active independent scholarly and/or creative program that results in peerreviewed dissemination of the work. Activity involving undergraduates is strongly encouraged. The successful candidate is also expected to engage in curriculum development and participate in academic advising recruiting course and program assessment and service to the school college and University.
Qualifications
A terminal degree (M.F.A. or Ph.D. in communications digital media film production or a closely related field is required at the time of appointment. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching in and around a TV studio building partnerships with other units in an institution and engaging students in creative work. Individuals committed to teaching with inclusive pedagogies that promote active engagement to foster student learning are encouraged to apply.
